hey! ive heard that break before! wheres it from?
thanks man! keep slicin
I’m new to MPC’s and MPD’S I think i understand the difference between
both.. but whats the point in buying and mpc if you have a computer?
wouldn’t it just be the same thing if you have a MPD a good sampler on your
computer??
Chears in advance ;)
That Helped alot! Thanks man!
It’s alot easier to use the whole button when changing all pads to the same
parameter
You can chop the sample on the MPC itself
No one but you have any problems with my questions. I’m just trying to
understand why people do it. I do make music, 100% original music. I don’t
run the risk of getting sued for sampling. Do some reading, you will see
how even 100 year old records may not be free to sample. Singing old songs
is one thing but the laws are very different for lifting recordings,
ownership is often different. You can end up losing everything for sampling
old recordings without permission or payment.
SEVEN STAR VIDEO
Can you use these like a live looper (the Digitech JamMan sort of
application) with a real instrument, sort of like your guitar, or is that
impossible? I would want to use one of these live with beats ready to go,
be able to improv a bit with the pads, but also need to be able to stop
playing my real instrument from time to time to do that. I’m also wondering
if this can be used to advance cleanly between pre-recorded beats in a
predetermined sequence. Thank you.
This is less complicated than putting together a band, but is not
necesarily easy. Anyways, thank you, the composition went great. Congrats!
\great video>>_-_
Which JJ OS where you using in this video? if you get the chance, let me
know
Oh I see, so its like a genre based tradition. Does house or techno also
require sampling of old stuff. Daft Punk sure used whole disco songs for
their works. So I guess sampling is everywhere. Does anyone know if
Skrillex and Deadmau5 sample old records too? Thanks a lot for your replies
Goodwin!
sampling hs a special sound to it, specially when you chop samples from
vinyl, it has that “olschool” sound.
You should check the Wiki page about the history of the MPC, it’s cool
stuff.
I have that dare shirt
how do you turn pad mute function on?
Well I figure using sample libraries is less of a steal than using other
people’s commercial recordings. I actually thought that would be even
illegal. If you sample your own sounds by banging on stuff or with a
vocoder then thats fully your thing.
doooooooope brah
Yo man love your vid’s. You have tought me how to learn the 1000. I got a
question tho? When I put bass on my pads and have chopped them all up how
do I get it to where I have to hold the pad down and let go when I want it
to stop playing.
it’s fun ok 😛
how do add your own drum kits into the mpc 1000
Would I be able to “drag and drop” drum samples from FL Studios to the pre
sets on this drum machine?
akai mpc the best!!
If you got an amp, which I’m sure you do, you can just plug a jack from the
headphone out of the amp to the input on the MPC and play your shit. If you
don’t have an amp, I can make you a small Noisy Cricket for real low cheap.
tons of music these days is made using these kind of re sampling
techniques. E.g Macklemore, skrillex, It defiantly gives you the ability to
make sounds and sequences that you normally couldn’t, and also eliminates
the need for other musicians, so you can jam on your own.
at 1 min i think he wanted to say Trent Reznor
I love how the LCD is getting picked up on the green screen!.
how do u put your music on the computer an then to the internet?
@picalo32 the pad sensor problem is only an isshue with the older blue
1000s anyway new pad sensors are dirt cheap, there like $15 for a full set
and very easy to install.
32 MB!!!!
Trip Reznor makes dem beatz!!
k ,what should i get the akai MPC1000 or the akai MPC2000XL
Chromafail
@picalo32 I’m waiting for my MPC 1000, hope the pads r good

I don’t like this at all man!!
Couldn’t they just have made the thing just a liiittle bit bigger so it
could have full size pads-.-.. now i have to get the 2500 wich is 3 times
as expensive ;(
Nice demo, chief. I’m looking to move up to the 2500 now. Nice flip on the
“Fire” sample…

@picalo32 the pads on the new ones are fine, it’s the cursor buttons that
are shite.
