i have the black 1000 and i still have to bang those things out !!but im
scared to buy the upgrade just to find out they are the same pads
those are plain akai pads not the upgrades. so they will die eventually
like the old ones. they’re meant to hold you over until you get the
upgrade. the whole thing is annoying. We all have to fork up 200 dollars
extra on a 1000 dollar machine because they decided to use a different
method of manufacturing.
I´m not freaking pay 200 dollars for that, I was saving money for a year
just to be pissed about the pads…

all dead. Will the new pads works with the Akai operating system.

Yes. The 07 Black ones come with them.
I don’t think the black ones come with different pads. They don’t feel like
other MPC pads to me, but to make sure I’d have to take the thing apart.
Has anybody done this upgrade?

Thanks for even making a video though! Side note: It’s not like there brand
new, they don’t get crazy velocity sensitive but better than practically
dead. As you can tell when demos this one at the end of the vid. There
might still be a couple of these left on ebay because with these guys
they’ll charge you up front and make you wait til God knows when!

Most people just take the new cable off and trash it and use the one that
is already there. Usually easier.

Yeah they are a bit different now. ALOT easier to install. I think its
pretty self explanatory. We may update the video though.
