Here’s the second video from our Akai MPC sampler series, and in this video we pair up the Akai MPC 1000 with an E-MU Mo’Phatt sound module. We demonstrate the Mo’Phatt’s ability to transmit different patches on different MIDI channels.
For this demonstration we have the patches laid out as follows:
Midi Channel #1 – Hi Hats
Midi Channel #2 – Kick Drum
Midi Channel #3 – Snare Drum
Midi Channel #4 – Bass synth
ect, ect…
Where every track on the MPC is set to the following MIDI Channel:
Track 1 = Channel 1A
Track 2 = Channel 2A
Track 3 = Channel 3A
ect, ect..
Where MIDI A – Out from the MPC1000 goes to the MIDI in on the Mo’Phatt.
For the MIDI controller we’ll be using the pads on the MPC1000 and the keyboard from the Novation Bass Station 2.

one question please
is it possible to sequence 3 hardware synths at the same time ?
WOW the drums sound really good and current considering it age. I was thinking about buying a E-MU Turbo Phatt. I wonder whats the different between the two? Do you still use your mo phatt?
Can i do something like this with mpc 1000, ableton with vst shynts, midi keybord…
not 100% sure if i get this, so the bassstation is just used as a masterkeyboard, and all the sounds are coming from the mo phatt ?
Which JJ OS is he using in the video?
Cuz you need to slow the fuck down when giving info.
how to use the Audio track feature on the JJOS and is there a way i can export stems from the jjos?

I actually am a fan of the original OS. Yea there are alot of features that are nice with the jjos but I am so used to the original that I don't think that I would like to have to learn all this shit……Main the is the Track thing that shows where your notes are hitting is dope.

I have a question I got the 1000 and I want to upgrade to the jjos from the latest Akai software but I have over 400 beats on the mpc 1000's internal harddrive…
Now will all my sequences and programs that i made with the akai os work with the jjos upgrade?
hey bro. are you still using the jj os1? i got the mpc 2500 and using the free version. but was gonna jump to jj os1 i knw the os2 and xl have more features but i like the look on the main screen give that akai os looks like the free jj os! which version do you recommend? but some reason i like the free version. in the trim mode screen it's bigger wave forms compared to the upgrades on the later versions of jjos
what website do you get a good version of jjos
I loaded jjos from the computer. I try to save a sequence an every time it says I have to put a password in. Why. What I do wrong
great info..but u are going way to fast..lol
What I meant to say was , where is that function at ? I think I located it . Thank you
Set mute groups for notes if it's just a couple of pads, or mute target. Or if it's the whole program and you only want 1 pad to play at a time, set the program to mono.
mode => pad 7 (program) => f3 (params) then top-right of the screen (play:poly/mono) or middle of the screen mute group. set it to the same number for each of the pads that you want to cancel eachother. Happy mpcing
HOW DO I NOTE CANCEL ? NOTE CANCELS ANOTHER NOTE WHEN SET ?? JHELP
BRO CAN I NOTE CANCEL ??? AND HOW ??? HELP!!
If you are a computer person, Fxpansion Geist is great also
I switched to JJOS 8 months ago. There's no way I'll switch back now.
