Akai Mobiles has launched two new mobile phones, the dual sim phone WOW with 3D graphic interface and 3D sound system and the triple sim mobile phone TRIO .Akai
WOW Touch screen double sim mobile phone is available in India at Rs.7995.The company claims Trio is the first triple sim mobile phones in Indian market. But
technically it is the third one. Triple standby (GSM+GSM+GSM) and is available at a reasonable price of Rs.3295.The launch of Trio was announced on January 18th, 2011. Akai WOW has a 3.2 megapixel camera with digital zoom and a 3.5 inches (8.9cms) Full touch HVGA resistive display screen. It is a bar phone weighing 95g and with a dimension of 116 x 61 x 12.5 mm. Pictures of resolution 400×240 pixels is produced.WOW phone supports Bluetooth, MMS, JAVA, mobile tracker, data security, blacklist, G-Sensor, conference call ,GPRS,WAP and EDGE. It can also be made to work as modem. Connectivity is enhanced by Bluetooth and 3.5mm audio jack.WOW has FM
radio with inbuilt utility functions like FM recording. It is equipped with an expandable memory of 8GB, apart from the internal memory of 1GB+256MB.RMVB and NES
Games are available. The phone is available in black color.

Akai Trio is a stylish low end phone with dual language facility and enables user to block unwanted calls without paying extra to the operator for blacklist services. Akai Trio is equipped with features such as 1.3 mega pixel camera and robust multimedia and connectivity options such as FM radio, audio and video player, Bluetooth (A2DP), USB, WAP, and GPRS etc. Web browsing is made easier. The phone has 2.1-inch TFT display. It has an in built sound recorder, game applications and E-book. The phones memory is expandable up to 8GB. Also it supports speed dialing, conference call and forwarding a call to an active sim. Akai a Japan brand is not so popular in India. They will have to compete with other dual sim phone makers like Nokia, Samsung, and LG etc. The phones will be available in 15000 retail outlets in India. In fact the country is expecting a wide spread presence in the country after the launch of these two phones. Triple sim phones are expected to enjoy the same market as dual sim phones.
